After a time in the baths or steam and therapudic rooms, men and women would meet in these public rooms for time to socialize, play games or listen to music. In the 1930s, after 30 years of popularity, the bathhouses lost their attraction because of changes in the economy and the beginning use of antibiotics. Now disease could be scientifically treated with medication, not only with mineral waters and baths.
