Goosenecks
The San Juan River, north of Monument Valley, makes a series of twists and turns as it makes it's way to the Colorado River. In this area the turns are tight and they have named them "goosenecks" for an obvious reason. The overlook provides a spectacular view as the river carves it's way through different layers of rock and sediment. We are standing about 800' above the river.
