The Roman theater is largely intact to this day. It seated 8000 people. It was here that Paul appeared before Herod to give an account of what he was preaching about. He was judged guilty and sent to prison in Rome by ship from here. The theater faces the Mediterranean Sea. Today it is set up for a concert of some kind.
