We are taking a day long trip from Durango, Colorado north to Silverton and Ouray and then back down south via Placerville, Telluride and the Lizard Head Pass. These hot springs were right at the side of the road and the water was quite warm. The mineral rich water has made an interesting shape. In the late 1800s when travelers made their way to the gold fields to the north, this was a welcome stop at the next door inn for a warm meal and a warm soak.
