Monday, September 13
It is chilly and rainy this morning as we unhook our water hose and our electric cord. We are heading east again as we follow the St Lawrence River from its most narrow point - one kilometer at the Quebec City ramparts - to some of the wider areas where the opposite shore is hardly visible. At Riviere-du-loup, we turn east and head toward the New Brunswick border. The Welcome centre is a good place for lunch and has computers to check our email. Another stop in the later afternoon gives a chance to stretch our legs by walking the longest covered bridge in North America at Hartland. Tonight we are staying in Woodstock (not the one of peace and love-in fame) in a quiet small campground overlooking the St John River. The rain is still coming down!
