"The King's Speech"

Because we retired people can go to the movies during the daytime, we decided that today we would go to see "The King's Speech". This is the story of King George VI who reluctantly took the British throne when his brother Edward abdicated for the love of his life, Wallace Simpson. "Bertie" had suffered from a stammer since he was a young child and to speak before the country when the Second World War began, was an excruciating ordeal. He and his speech teacher developed a long time relationship of respect and encouragement. The movie has had many Academy award nominations and is well deserving of them. Highly recommended! After the show, we stopped at Rubio's for a fish taco - mmm!
