Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

Canadian Dinner
On Saturday, January 26, we went to the Canadian dinner here in our park. This is a large RV park with 2000 spaces and 65% of the residents are Canadian! Most come from the western provinces - Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba - but there are many from Ontario and even a couple from Newfoundland (they fly here!) We were welcomed by a real Mountie - a retired RCMP officer who is entitled to wear the uniform. The flags of all the provinces were paraded in accompanied by a bagpiper. We had a prime rib dinner and yummy creme brule dessert and then a presentation of music from each of the provinces. The evening continued with a dance and we had a great time.
