In the Judean desert is Mount Quantrum. It has many caves and was a stopping place for travelers in the desert. This is the Mount of Temptation where Jesus was tempted by Satan after 40 days in the desert. A Greek Orthodox monastery is now tucked onto the side of the mountain.
