Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

On an overcast evening, we met our good friends Bill and Luciena Veenstra in St George for dinner in a pub and then a drive to the tiny village of Troy to visit the Chick and Boar Farm that their son Mark and his wife Tania are running. In the hundred year old house and barn, complete with huge old timbers and stained glass windows, they are raising organic Berkshire pigs and free range chickens. They sell their eggs and boar meat at a Farmer's Market and to specialty restaurants. They are rightly proud of their farm and we really enjoyed our tour - plus the bacon, pork chops and schnitzel meat we brought home made for great eating!
