Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

After registering, the triatheletes get their numbers written on their arms, and pinned on their jerseys. They park their bikes and leave their biking shoes in their numbered slot in the transition area.
