Along the road, we saw several of these mineheads left from the heyday of gold and silver mining here in the San Juan Mountains. The largest mine, the Idarado, was closed in 1980.

Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht.
