Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

On Thursday, February 3, Jack and I joined Dan and Barb Bloem in their car to 'do the Apache Trail'. The Superstition Mountains are to the east of Phoenix and we have hiked in different areas of this wilderness. But today we will drive a 180 mile circle with 22 miles of graded gravel road deep into the canyons and high areas in the Tonto National Forest. The scenery is spectacular, saguaro cactus stately, the rocks red, yellow and even green and the lakes a stunning blue. The trip took a full day as we stopped frequently for pictures and views of this beautiful area. God has painted the desert in a stunning array of hues!
