Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

The Grand Canyon
And Grand it is!! An hour and a half drive west and north of Flagstaff, over high desert territory with pinyon pine and tall standing ponderosas with not a hint of the great canyon opening up in front of you until you stand at the rim. Multi layers of red, brown, and white rock carved by the Colorado River, it is a spectacular sight! It is such a grand vista that you can see storms moving across - in our case, it was snow storms. It was cold mostly because the elevation is high. But the tourist crowds were thin so we could have good views and pictures at each vantage point.
