Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

It is a beautiful sunny day after Friday's rain and we are eager to explore more. Green Gables is only a kilometer from our campground, so we will go here first. Fortunately, we arrived shortly before the tour buses so we had the place almost to ourselves. We toured the cottage and farm of the Cuthbert's who adopted Anne from an orphanage at the age of 10. But this is only an imaginary story from the mind of Lucy Maud Montgomery. Green Gables is, indeed, a real place where Maud spent time visiting with some cousins and the PEI shore and small community is the place that her fertile imagination used to create the much loved series of books "Anne of Green Gables"
