Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

High Tide at Hopewell
By afternoon of Wed Sept 15, we got to our campground - Ponderosa Pines. High tide was arriving at 7pm so we took the truck to see the high water at the Hopewell Rocks. These spires, in the shape of flowerpots, were about 2/3 covered by the tidal water. They are worn into these shapes by wave action over thousands of years. We will return tomorrow noon to see how they look at low tide and walk out on the beach that is today deeply covered in water.
