Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

Friday Hiking Group
Looking for every opportunity to get out into the desert - an endlessly fascinating place to us - we joined a hiking group from Sun Life RV Park - a next door sister park. We had hiked with this group last year and many of the same people turn out each week so there were familiar faces. But everyone is friendly in these parks. We drove about 15 miles to the base of the Gold Mountains to the trailhead of Bulldog Canyon. There were 17 in the group and we hiked a loop of about 6.5 miles RT. The desert wildflowers are just beginning to bloom and the weather was perfect - cool morning (50F) warming nicely to 72F by the time we returned home at 1pm - in time for a few hours by the pool. We love Arizona!
