Jack and Mary Jagt are retired from the work of trading in natural rubber (Jack) and Intensive Care Nursing (Mary). They love to travel in their RV - nicknamed the Merrie Yacht. Recently moved from the home they raised their family in to a condo in a smaller town, they now have fewer home responsibilities and hope to be on the road more often.

Arizona Renaissance Festival
On Saturday, March 6, Derek and Jack and I went out to the desert near Apache Junction to the Renaissance Festival. This is annual gathering, on weekends in February and March, of actors and buskers with juggling, high wire and magic acts and just sheer fun shenanigans all dressed in medieval costumes. There are many, many artisans and vendors plying their wares and a lot of visitors are also dressed in costumes - kids with angel wings, faces painted and pirate patches and soft leather mocasins. At the end of the day there is a joust to the death between knights on horses dressed in metal armour and battling in the arena in front of a crowd of people and the King and Queen of the Shire. Lots of good fun and food. We had a great day under sunny skies!
