Another museum - today we went to visit the state run historical museum in Papago Park in Phoenix. It is a large museum with lots of interesting exhibits, but we were the only visitors and we found that most of the audio and push button exhibits were not working. To us, it was evidence that state budgets are tight and that cuts are becoming evident. Arizona is in very real trouble with continuing high unemployment and and shrinking revenues with industry closing and the housing market in a huge slump. After our visit, we had lunch at Subway and returned home to spend the afternoon by the pool in the lovely sunshine.
